Pros

Incredible team of staff who look out for each other and support each other. SLT have a strong presence in and around the school and will always have your back, with a clear and effective behaviour policy. Feedback on lessons is very thorough but not given in a way that feels like you are being criticised, quite the opposite. It is helpful feedback and reasonable solutions are always made. The house system has created a lovely family feeling in the school and the team of TAs who support in lesson do a great job and always have plenty of praise to dish out. CPD sessions were very well planned and very useful. Support within the departments (definitely in the one) I was a part of was brilliant. Everyone helped each other and would always cheer you up if you'd had a stressful day. It feels like everybody in school, right from the top down, is in it together.

Cons

Having to call home in order to explain why detentions have been issued is very time-consuming and implies that detentions are negotiable. The old system of logging them and parents automatically getting notified was far better.
